A classic German ET420 suburban train and a piece of graffiti history translated into a numbered, laser-engraved birch wood collector board.

“25 ET420” is the special final design in the first Chromatica City Series. Closely connected to German train and graffiti culture, the ET420 became a familiar part of several major urban railway networks and developed a particularly strong connection to Stuttgart and the Plochingen depot. Within the scene, the train became affectionately known as the “Plochi”.

The detailed ET420 artwork is permanently laser-engraved into 3 mm birch wood in A4 landscape format.

A GERMAN GRAFFITI ICON

For generations of writers, the ET420 formed part of the visual environment around German urban rail. Its distinctive shape, large side panels and long service history made it a recognizable part of train and graffiti culture, especially around Stuttgart and Plochingen.

As design number 25, the ET420 closes the international City Series with a tribute to this chapter of German urban culture.

The ET420 “Plochi” Edition is strictly limited to 25 pieces worldwide. Every board is individually numbered 01/25–25/25 on the reverse and supplied with a Chromatica Certificate of Authenticity.

3 MM BIRCH WOOD / A4 LANDSCAPE

The board measures approximately 29.7 × 21 cm and is made from 3 mm birch wood. Natural grain, base color and surface texture vary from board to board, so each engraving can show subtle tonal differences.

Keep the permanent engraving natural or customize the “Plochi” with suitable acrylic markers. The fixed engraved linework gives you a lasting base for your own colors, lettering, characters and graffiti style.
