Istanbul is shaped by contrasts: historic neighbourhoods and contemporary towers, narrow streets and broad transport corridors, Europe and Asia. Within this layered metropolis, the Metro connects densely built districts and creates its own urban world of tunnels, platforms, bridges and technical structures.

The Istanbul Edition transfers this atmosphere onto natural black slate. At its centre is a detailed full side-view illustration of an Istanbul Metro train. Its doors, windows, carriage structure and technical linework have been precisely developed for light laser engraving.

The dark slate strengthens the contrast between the city’s historic fabric and its modern infrastructure. Its naturally irregular surface recalls stone, concrete and weathered urban materials, while the engraving emerges like a permanently archived technical drawing.

The Istanbul Edition is strictly limited to only 25 pieces worldwide. Each plaque is individually numbered 01/25 to 25/25 on the reverse and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
