Mexico City Metro Slate Art – Limited Laser-Engraved Subway Culture Edition
The Mexico City Metro—movement, density and urban energy within the railway system of a megacity.
Mexico City is an extensive metropolis of historic neighbourhoods, modern architecture, dense street life and continuous urban transitions. Within it, the Metro creates a world of platforms, tunnels, open railway sections, interchange points and constantly repeated movement.
The Mexico City Edition transfers this characteristic transit culture onto natural black slate. At its centre is a detailed full side-view illustration of a Mexico City Metro train. Its doors, windows, carriage structure and technical contours have been precisely developed for light laser engraving.
The dark, naturally broken slate recalls concrete, stone and weathered metropolitan surfaces. Against it, the precise train engraving appears like a permanently preserved fragment of Mexico City’s transport infrastructure.
The Mexico City Edition is strictly limited to only 25 pieces worldwide. Each slate plaque is individually numbered 01/25 to 25/25 on the reverse and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Latin American Metro culture transformed into a permanent urban art object:
This edition is created for Metro enthusiasts, train writers, graffiti and street-art fans, Mexico City lovers and collectors of international transit culture. It combines the train’s technical geometry with the visual density and creative energy of one of Latin America’s defining metropolises.
The artwork is an independent artistic interpretation of Mexico City Metro culture. It contains no official operator logos, line colours, station symbols, route numbers or line identifiers and is not affiliated with the Sistema de Transporte Colectivo or any other transport company.
Every plaque is made from genuine natural slate. Variations in surface, edges, stone texture and engraving appearance are natural characteristics that make each of the 25 pieces unique.
You will receive one laser-engraved Mexico City slate plaque with its Certificate of Authenticity. Display stands, frames and decorative props are not included unless explicitly listed.
