The train templates are deliberately rotated and positioned so the main artwork is comfortable to work on. The layout is designed to keep you from having to color across the center fold or constantly turn the book while working on doors, windows, side panels and line details.

That matters when using strong blocks of color, marker fills and graffiti-inspired compositions. The pages are not only arranged to look good; the book is meant to function as a working object.

Always test your chosen material first. Marker behavior depends on ink load, paper, pressure and application. Wet or alcohol-based markers may show through or transfer, so place a protective sheet behind the page when needed.
