Bucharest Metro Slate Art – Limited Laser-Engraved Eastern European Transit Edition
The Bucharest Metro—underground movement shaped by monumental architecture, concrete and urban transformation.
Bucharest is defined by broad boulevards, large residential developments, historic buildings and imposing architecture from different eras. Beneath this layered city, the Metro connects central districts and outer urban areas through a system of tunnels, long platforms and functional transition spaces.
The Bucharest Edition transfers this Eastern European transit culture onto natural black slate. At its centre is a detailed full side-view illustration of a Bucharest Metro train. Its doors, windows, carriage structure and technical linework have been developed specifically for clear laser engraving.
The natural slate complements the architectural character of the artwork. Its rough texture recalls concrete, tunnel walls and weathered city surfaces, while the light engraving makes the train appear like a technical drawing taken from an urban archive.
The Bucharest Edition is strictly limited to only 25 pieces worldwide. Each plaque is individually numbered 01/25 to 25/25 on the reverse and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Eastern European infrastructure transformed into an urban collector’s object:
This edition is made for Metro enthusiasts, train writers, graffiti and street-art fans, Bucharest lovers and collectors of international transit culture. It presents the Romanian capital as an urban system of architecture, tracks, concrete and movement—far removed from conventional souvenir imagery.
The artwork is an independent artistic interpretation of Bucharest Metro culture. It contains no official Metrorex logos, line colours, route numbers or line identifiers and is not affiliated with Metrorex or any other transport company.
Because every plaque is made from genuine natural slate, its surface, edges, stone texture and engraving brightness will vary slightly. These natural differences make each of the 25 pieces unique.
You will receive one laser-engraved Bucharest slate plaque with its Certificate of Authenticity. Display stands, frames and decorative props are not included unless explicitly listed.
