Rome Metro Slate Art – Limited Laser-Engraved Urban Transit Edition

Rome is usually represented through ancient monuments, public squares and classical architecture. Beneath that visible surface, however, a modern Metro moves through a city whose underground is itself filled with history. This contrast gives the Rome Edition its distinctive place within the Chromatica City Series.

Its centrepiece is not a conventional Rome souvenir, but a detailed full side-view Metro illustration. The elongated vehicle shape, clearly structured doors, windows and technical linework reveal the modern transit side of the Italian capital.

Light engraving on natural black slate appears like a technical layer uncovered beneath the city. The rough, broken stone surface and precise train drawing create an urban object positioned between history, infrastructure and the present.

The Rome Edition is strictly limited to only 25 pieces worldwide. Each slate plaque is individually numbered 01/25 to 25/25 on the reverse and supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.

The artwork is an independent artistic interpretation of Rome Metro culture. It contains no official operator logos, route numbers or line identifiers and is not affiliated with any transport company.

Every plaque is made from genuine natural slate. Variations in its surface, edges, texture and engraving appearance are intentional characteristics that make each of the 25 pieces unique.
